Cantu’s single in the 11th beats Phils 3-2 (AP)
Savoring his game-winning single, Jorge Cantu rounded first base and kept going, trying to escape his jubilant Florida Marlins teammates. Scott Olsen caught him from behind with a headlock, Alfredo Amezaga leaped into Cantu’s arms, and others soon joined the fun. The Marlins are good at celebrating walk-off wins because they’ve had a lot of practice.

Against junkballer Jamie Moyer, those home run swings the Florida Marlins like to take produced mostly feeble grounders and popups. Again. The 45-year-old left-hander beat Florida for the 10th time in as many career starts, pitching six innings Friday night to help the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-2 victory.

Marlins recall Delgado from Double-A Carolina (AP)
Rookie right-hander Jesus Delgado was recalled Friday by the Florida Marlins from Double-A Carolina, where he went 5-1 with a 3.73 ERA in 27 games. Delgado, touted as a potential future closer, will join the bullpen. He takes the roster spot that became available when left-hander Andrew Miller was placed on the 15-day disabled list with patella tendinitis in his right knee.
